Hi All, I have the original placards that were attached to the transom of my 52' Alumacraft... it is an Alumacraft and an Outboard Club of America ... approx 1"x2" metal placards...

Is there anywhere to find some replicas, and/or replacements?

Thx

You will have to have them custom made.

Bah... I would rather keep the old ones than have to go through that...

I guess they do present some level of "vintage" for the boat...

Didnt realize they were that hard to find....

You will have to have them custom made.

Just a suggestion...... the old ones look great for their age. I have done this in the past with "old" labels and it works great...... mount them under a piece of 1/8" Plexiglas or Lexan which protects them but you can still read them. ;) They will never get scratched under the plastic.

Would anyone happen to know what it says under the scratch marks on the Alumacraft tag?

Here's an off the wall idea...make them yourself. Happen to have a printer handy? How about something like Microsoft Word? If so, here's what I would do...buy some waterslide decal paper that matches your printer type (ie. laserjet or inkjet). Print the required artwork onto the decal paper and set the decal on new material. I'd clear coat a couple times, LIGHTLY, with a gloss clear coat to give it water resistance and you're done.

If you don't like that approach, I'd wager a vinyl sign shop could come up with something for you too...for a price of course.

Gives you a little latitude with the verbage so you could personalize it to "tonynoriega2's Alumacraft" or whatever your taste may be.

Like I said, just an idea.
