Where to install smart tabs on my small boat

I may be able to get some smart tabs today
Emailed the company and waiting for a response but
I was wondering if anyone on here know where I should mount them
would really like to take the boat out tomorrow but if no on one knows ill wait
for the email from the company

I am facing a similar dilemma. Not sure what part of transom to mount them on. I too sent an email to the company, asking the question.

You rotated your Sonar Transducer when you moved it.
It was correct before you moved it.
It should point straight down not sideways.

I think you are going to love them.

I have bought and installed them on my last two boats. Looks like you have mounted them in a spot where they will work just fine. On both boats, I had to find another place to attach my transom tie downs on the trailer.

Willie I noticed that and will fix the transducer position.
I tried them out today they were great! I was able to get on Plane without someone sitting on the bow they also improved handling and the stability of the boat .
Getting on plane still takes to long for my liking how else can I speed up the time to plane ...prop change maybe?? also i have manual tilt and trim should i adjust that at all since i added the tabs?

Yes! Use your tilt and trim with the Smart Tabs. Motor all the way down when starting off, and once on plane trim up to find the sweet spot. Just like you do without the tabs.

Have you tried adjusting the tab to a stiffer setting setting? Actuator on the adjustment hole further away from the boat. That may help.

A different prop could help too, although the more power, the less top speed.....If that is a concern.

He can't make trim adjustments when running, he has to set his motor and leave it. If the motor is set for the best running then leave it where it is. If you set it all the way down the bow will stay in the water, kill speed, kill fuel consumption and other things, you may just have to live with a little slow to plane. You may be able to adjust the tabs, you will have to experiment with that, too much tab and the bow will stay in the water also.

Its currently set to the third hole from the transom do you think i should move it away one hole?
