Hello all, been looking for a used small aluminum fishing boat with small motor and trailer. The old man used to rent small Grumman boats with Mariner o/b on 'em down in south Jersey when I was a kid. Something like that would be good. Thought it would be nice to have something to take a little ride in during the off season or before putting the bowrider back in service for the new season. Something maybe ten twelve feet long 8-10 Hp outboard. Looking to spend 'bout $300-$800 bucks or so. A little fixer upper would be OK. Looked here at our host iBoats, looked on eBay, looked in want ads. No luck. :( Can't seem to find anything in my area northern NJ. Anyone have any sites to visit, places they know of, or sources they would recommend? Thanking everyone in advance for any help they could give! ;)

Regards,
Fireship

Too bad you don't live near me. (South Bend,IN)
I have a 10 foot aluminum jon boat I'd sell for $100. I have no use for it anymore.

As far as your question, I'd check your local newspaper classifieds ads.

Those little boats seem impossible to find here in Philadelphia-South Jersey area. I searched high and low before finding my boat, a 14ft fiberglass Gamefisher. I don't know which classified publications you have in North Jersey but down the shore in Cape May County they have "The Shoppee" and the "Trading Post". I think these smaller less cirsulated publications usually have some deals. Ebay is also a great resource. I sold my 12' Sea Nymph with a galvanized trailer and 8hp Evinrude for $750 with gear. Sold in less than 1hr after I put it on the road. Good Luck

It may depend on when your boating season starts. Around here the weather is just starting to turn and as a example 3 weeks ago in the sunday paper there were 8-20 boats listed, Been having good weather now for last few weeks and last sundays paper had two full colums of boat listings! At least three like what your for. Might run a add in the boating section and see what happens.

Just a thought
