I'm installing dual batteries and would like some input as to where to mount the battery switch and how to mount it. Thanks

Re: Where to mount my battery switch

Tell us a little bit about your boat and what you have to work with as far as compartments, etc. . .

Generally, you would want the switch in a side compartment or similar storage area that is easily accessible when you board the boat. Closer to the batteries is better as the cable runs will be shorter, so probably not too far forward.

The main power switch is mounted as close to the battery as possible. Usually the conductor from the battery to the switch is not fused. For this reason, you should keep that conductor as short as possible.

How you mount depends on the switch. Follow the directions.

IMG_0053.JPGYes the dual batteries will be where the one is now, so I guess I'll mount the switch down under that seat also. I can lift the seat to get at the switch. I'm gonna dock the boat, so that's why I'm using dual batteries because I'll have a full time auto bilge pump connected to the one battery
