Where to purchase carb rebuild kit??

I have a GM 4.3 V6 on a 1988 Sunbird OMC Cobra.Should I buy a carb rebuild kit from an OMC dealer or can I purchase from an auto parts store? Also, I have a rear mounted gas tank and the line goes through the bilge then up to the pump. If I remove the line from the pump and hold it down in the bilge should gas flow out? I think it did before but I am not sure. Should I be able to blow air into the tank? Thanks to everyone for your help!

I had got rebuilding kits from After market discount marine(phone# 1-800-349-2628).You have to use marine kits! Floats are spring loaded not the same as auto.<br />Yes,fuel will come out of your fuel line.

Some tanks have a check valve at the tank pick up and some do not. So depending on if you have one or not says if you can blow air into the tank or not.

NAPA can get kits for marine engines. Just need to give them the carb number. Much more reasonable than marine aftermarket.<br />mike
