Where to put in-line filter

Does an in-line filter go between the bulb and the tank or between the bulb and motor?<br /><br />thanks,<br />Terry G.

I put mine between the bulb and engine, I don't know if it makes a great deal of differance though, as long as it doesn't leak.<br />Richard
