Thanks all. Looking for some response on the best online store for genuine Mercury parts. I'm in need of a CDM module for 02 115 4cyl 2+2. Any input for the best bang for a buck?
thanks, mark

If you want the best deal........ you don't want parts from Brunswick AKA Mercury.

-W

Generally speaking Rapair/CDI Electronics builds much better electrical parts than Mercury

Is there a place to order Sierra parts on the web for low prices?

Ordering on-line is great,and I do it a lot.
But keep in mind the guy just up the street,or down the road.I mean your local dealer. If you don't drive down (up) and give him some business,He won't be there to help, while you wait for the mailman.

Most mailmen don't know much about boats, never mind engines. And if you call Sierra, they can't tell you the yellow banded wires have to go to the same switchbox.

DHP

Thanks guys. I did go to my local guy, and he can have me a CDM tomorrow!! It's the CDI Electronics brand which I gather is the better on the market? And not much more than prices I've been seeing on the web, especially considering next day delivery. Sorry Whaley, but iboats inventory search didn't turn up the part I needed, I checked here before posting this.
mark

I'm all for supporting my "local guy", but my local guy is a big conglomerate that doesn't seem interested in messing with anything older than 5 years, they usually just want to sell me something where they can make a wad of money. Their favorite saying is "We don't have that part in stock...maybe we can get it in a couple weeks...maybe not...but while you're here, would you be interested in a new 250 Optimax?"

I just got excellent service and prices on some parts from mercruiserparts.com...aka BAM Marine. One part in particular (ignition trigger) was difficult to find anywhere else, and they delivered all genuine Quicksilver parts.

I found www.outboardparts.com to be great in service and delivery. The prices aren't the cheapest but are cheap (ex. switchbox merc 200 $181 with S&H and tax).

-andy

My local shops around here have many old parts in stock. One of them told me to check with him first that he would give me a deal just to get rid of them. Tim

Do any of your local shops have websites?
