Where's the serial other than the tag?

I have a Mercury 60hp Bigfoot. I have been trying to find the serial number on it. The tag near the transom clamp is blank. Is the serial stamped anywhere else?

Look for a round welch plug in the motor. About the size of a 60 cent coin.

OK. Now that I have the serial, where can I find specs on this motor? It runs great. I just want to know what to expect from it. It's on a 24' pontoon built in 1995, and it was supposedly rebuilt by Mercury a couple of years ago. That's about all I know about it.

If you have the s/n, post it as that is what will determine what information can be offered.

It looks like 06161305. The second character could be G or 6 - the eyes arent what they used to be.

S/n comes up as:

60 60 3-cyl 0G090084 0G290584 1995 USA
