I just picked up a 1982 Evinrude 2HP model E2RCNE and it runs great, very clean, almost showroom condition. I notice when I run it I cannot see any water stream from the head for cooling so I have a new impeller on order.

However, I cant even seem to locate the hole where the water would come out of and picked up a service manual which doesnt mention it either.

Does anybody know where to locate this, or by some miracle, does the water not stream out of the head as in most engines?

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers,
GP

on my 2hp, it was a fine mist from the exhaust holes at slow speeds, but noticably more after the impeller change.... so for the few bucks, it's probably a good idea to change it out anyway. Also, you might wanna pick up a couple shear/drive pins to carry as spares.

Brent
