I posted this fall about finding chocolate milk in both of my drives. I finally got my shop put together and tore into the drives on Friday. Everything seems to be OK. No rust, bearings seem to move free, and everything came apart fairly easily. The down side...I didn't have an impact gun handy to remove the retaining nut on the top of the shaft. I tried to lock the drive with a 2x4 against the prop while applying a lot of pressure on the nut with a breaker bar. The nut didn't budge and I put a little cup into one blade of the prop. Now I am going to have to send them out to be tuned. I know, dumb, dumb, dumb.
