Which 2 stroke do u recommend

We are buying 2 new outboard engine's very shortly one is a mercury 90 and the other blew up :D i was saying we should maybe stick the mercury because we have the manuel's and tool's and we were going to keep thebut now since one blew up it doesn't matter which 2 stroke make do you's reckon stick with mercury and get DFi's or go for evinrude Etec or any other's u think worth a try

Pragmatism says get a pair of Optis, Scauldy. Less extra stuff to buy.

But for long term satisfaction I would change over completely to E-tecs.

That is if you are determined to stay with 2 strokes. I prefer 4 strokes.

The "heavier, slower, less reliable" arguments from BRP are very thin and on some models just plain false. A pair of Suzi DF115s (same weight as the DF90s) would make you very happy.

sorry bout the double post jb.. yeah love merc's but the trouble shooting is long and hard . but would be cheaper as u say to stick with them also cos i would have to buy less parts to buy
