i have a 94' merc 115 and i'm trying to remove the flywheel with a harmonic Bal. puller but none of the bolts i have will fit the holes on top..are these special size bolts? from what i can tell they are 5/16 with 20 threads per inch? is this correct? any idea where i can get the bolts to fit this?

Re: which bolts to remove flywheel?

You'd be better off using a traditional Merc puller, threaded into the internal diameter of the flywheel. They're pretty cheap on eBay.

Having said that, I think you'll find those are fine threads 5/16-24 if you wish to use the puller method you mentioned.

Try a 5/16-24. I believe thats what I used on my 150.
