Hey guys i have a 2003 maxum 1900sr with the original 4.3 mercruiser carbed, I need to replace the timing cover but saw that you can use the automotive one because the timing seal isn't a marinized part. Which car model should I say to the sales person at the parts store.

I'm thinking the 2003 chevy Silverado 4.3l but just wanted to confirm with you guys.

Thanks, Ross

Yup, I use same year & engine size as mine from a Chevy truck too.

there are aftermarket aluminum timing covers to replace the problematic plastic ones as well.
