Which gear is forward/ reverse? 6 or 3 grooves

I'm looking to order a new reverse gear for my 2004 90TLRC. The parts diagram just has "gear 1" and "gear 2" listed and I don't know which is which. When I look at the gear pictures online I can see that one has 3 grooves for the clutch dog and one has 6 grooves for the clutch dog. Does anyone know for sure which is reverse and which is forward? I'd hate to order the wrong gear.

When you order ,tell your salesman you want the reverse gear. Reverse gear is closest to the prop
