I am going to be fitting a new prop shortly to my 15hp Yamaha engine.

Can you recommend a grease for the shaft?

Is there any I should avoid

Thanks

As someone here once said any grease is better than no grease.Lbriplate 105 would work.
If I was doing it I would use any lube including ep 90 and check it anually.

I'd use one that gets removed and replaced every fall ... ;)

Lubriplate makes a white GP grease that works fine in water environments (most auto parts stores). Otherwise any GL-2 grease wiped on the prop shaft.

Any marine grease, or I use gray anti-seize. All DIY will have it somewhere in there garage. And yes, your prop should be taken off, and clean splines, inspected, and re-lubed every season.
