Which heater hose?

I want to replace the hoses to the manifold risers and what I have now is gates red stripe hose. All I can find online is green stripe. Will this work and is it acceptable? I don't know if the PO installed it or if it's from the factory stock. 1985 260 Mercruiser.

Ayuh,.... I usually use the molded Merc hoses,....

Plain ole no stripe heater hose will work, so long as it's the right diameter,....

I put reinforced clear vinyl hoses on mine for diagnostic purposes years ago, 'n never changed 'em back to black hoses,....
They're still on there,....
