Which is best NGK or Champion

What spark plug do you believe is best or the one you prefer: NGK or Champion. Which one is more sensitive for carbon buildup - foulded <br /><br />Thanks <br /><br />Smoky

I run NGKs in my Merc 150, and I believe you will hear that they are best in Mercurys. However I have heard here on the forums where the chanpions work better in some OMC engines. If you are concidering this for your Force, I would vote for the NGKs.

Ditto LD.<br /><br />The subtle differences in different makes better suit some engines and not others.<br /><br />I am sure that Champion plugs are what OMC/Bombardier engines are designed for, and I hear from Mercsperts that Mercs like NGKs.<br /><br />Which is best? That depends on what engine you will use them in.

My Force Mercury 90HP seems to run better on NGK plugs.

That explains the feelings of paranoia when I run my Suzuki outboard and my Acura car (NGK plugs).

For years Mercury Marine recommended Champion plugs. Recently they changed their recommendation to NGK, even for their older motors.

I previously was using champion L78V in my 89 75Hp 3cyl Mariner, after changing to NGK BUHW-2 there's no going back, my engine runs alot better with the NGK plugs

I've had very good results with Denso iridium plugs in my Johnson 115. Far superior to the Champion or NGK plugs.

May be made by the same company gearhead, but they are NOT the same plug.
