Which is the worst case for a cylinder in these two scenarios?

Water getting into cylinder/s causing rust

or

A heat seized engine?

i would have to say heat seized can do more damage to the cylinders but water will take out all the bearings as well

I would tend to agree with tompy. Heat seized engine has a much greater chance of causing damage to multiple engine components.

Is it worse to be killed from a knife to the heart or from a bullet to the heart?

Each scenario can damage the engine to the point where it needs rebuilding, OR you might get lucky in either scenario and only need minimal repairs. So which is worse? It depends!
