Which lower unit do I need?

I have a 1996 Renken 19ft boat. It has the Vortech V-6 in it. We were driving well until that rock got the prop and then we lost speed and had to limp on back in when it would actually engage into gear. Pretty sure I rounded off some gears on the lower unit. Its an alpha 1, gen 2. Serial number off the transom mount is 0F515203. Which gear ratio do I have and do I need to go with that exactly, or something close off ebay if I purchase another lower unit? Thanks for your help. Isn't there a website I can look it up on my own via the serial number? Thanks for all your help again.

Ayuh,... I'm pretty sure you need a Whole New Drive, rather than just the lower unit...
That makes You a prime cantidate for a SEI replacement drive,...
Their website will steer you through the Ratio question...

Yup, SEI is a good option, but not all 4.3's have the same ratio.

If you look at the drive (from the rear) on the top left side, the S/N is stamped into the housing, right next to that is the gear ratio. Most likely it will be 1.65 if you have fuel injection or 1.84 for a carbed engine, but you need to get the same ratio you are running now.
