Which Manual should i buy for my outboard?

Howdy folks.<br /><br />I am going to buy from iboats, so please dont tell me that they are here( i already know that!). <br /><br />My question is whether to buy the clymer evinrude manual or the seloc. The info for each is roughly similar, so i cant make an educated decision on which to buy.<br /><br /> Any help is greatly appreciated! <br /><br />Oh yeah, my motor is an ?1957-1958? Evinrude Fastwin Eighteen. almost forgot to post that!

I have a Clymer manual for Merc.Dont like it.<br /> I like the Seloc manual for my Evinrude/Johnson.<br /> The Seloc is for 56-70 E/J 1.5-40hp.

I have two manuals, 1 Seloc and 1 factory manual. Usually betwween the two I can get fairly decent info. If you cant find a Factory manual here or locally check out Ebay. That is where I got mine.

Ok, so thats two for Seloc, and one for Clymer.<br /><br />Anyone else have an opinion?

Can't speak for Evinrude but, Seloc over Clymer for Chrysler.

i feel there is not better manuals then factory service manuals you can find them on ebay pretty cheap.the other manuals cover way to many engines and the pics are not all that good eather

Anyone else have any input?<br /><br />It'll probly be awhile before i can order it, as i cant get the iboats orderform to work.

Ahoy, Ferg.<br /><br />I have some of each. Seloc seems more detailed, but the production and print quality of the Clymers are better.<br /><br />I would choose the Clymer.
