I have a quicksilver standard water/fuel separator like:

http://www.sterndrive.info/sterndriveparts/id1.html

it has 2 inputs and 2 outputs. 1 set of inputs/outputs on each side.

my manual says that there is an order you have to use... like the input on on side to the output on the other side.

i have had it hooked up both on one side almost a year now (I put it on last year). What will that do? Because of where it's mounted I can't really hook it up the way the manual says. What do I do?

Thanks.

you will be fine aggie. the manual is probably referring to increased fuel vaccum by not choosing the straightest path. reading your other post about the full water/sep filter, you can get a replacement racor element with a spin on clear bowl the will fit your current filter head. with the amount of water you had in your tank it would be money well spent.

DO NOT get a clear bowl for an IO or inboard set up. The clear bowls are for outboards.

Racor Filters
