which prop is better for my 6hp fisherman 74?

8x7-1/4 or the 8-1/4x5 both 3 blade, the last one listed is for a 77 correct? would it be better on my 74?

We need more info.Please read the stickies on the top of the page.
We need to know your boat,typical load,present prop size and the max rpm and speed.
A tinytach will work well for rpm.Your motor needs to operate within it rpm range for best performance and its health.A tach and the speed is the only way to know if the setup works right.
The props mentioned would fit 66-79 motors. The 5" would be for a really big hard to push boat.
The other for a boat you might expect to find a 6hp on.
