I have a 1990 SeaRay 21 ft Bowrider and its equipped with a 4.3 merc and Alpha1 drive. I aquired the boat minus the prop, someone had stolen it (imagine that). So now I need to know what basic kind of prop I should be looking for both in diameter and pitch. I am not going to race the boat, I might pull a tube behind every now and then but mostly it will be a pleasure boat and a fishing boat. I run in Saltwater. I need some advice on it so I can shop e-bay, unless someone on here has one to sell??

Also, can a Mercury Outboard prop be used? I found a great deal on one here, looked exactly like an I/O prop, looks like it would fit, pitch and diamete looks right???

Navy as far dia.? not sure think it's a 14 3/4 friend of mine has that same model except v-8 runs a 21 pitch pulls skiers fine, a 19 would be your best starting point then go higher or lower depending on your boating needs  stump pulling or hauling a** ;) "O" look^^^^

NavyGuy:<br />You need to find out what your max RPM range is and prop to that. My guess is that the max range is 4,400 - 4,800 RPMs. Do a google search of mercury props, an aluminum will cost you aroud $150 or so. I don't know if an outboard prop will work, the hub assembly may be different. Good Luck
