Which prop on 4.3 merc?

We recently got a 20' Ebbtide w/ 4.3 Merc. It tops out around 45mph currently but I'd like a little more out of the hole. It seems to shoot the bow upward and take a while to get on plane. (regardless of trim)

I currently have the factory 21p aluminum prop and want to go SS.

In an SS prop, would you still stay with a 21p or would you try a 19p prop? I realize I will lose some top end but am worried about overrevving the motor at WOT and really just want to improve the hole shot.

The boat is pretty heavy at 2900#, but I believe there is room for improvement.

That is a very grippy prop....

Could you post your rpm and gearing along with top speed....how much weight your running with..

Stilletto makes some great 4 blades with trememdous stern lift and very little speed loss...only 2 though 18-20 pitched and the 20 is a bit big...it reacts like a 21p 3 blade ss with a lot of cupping.

Solas titan 4 blade is a bargain at around 300. and if you want to step up on plane a lot quicker without the bow rise a set of smart tabs or trim tabs will work wonders. Also lowers your lowest planing speed a good bit making ti lots easier to hold a steady speed with boarders on the back...
