which repair manual for a 97 25hp?

Hi, I just bought a boat with a 1997 johnson 25 horse. I'm going to change the water pump impeller but would like a manual to help walk me through it, and with any other repairs/mainenance I do. On amazon I found 2, SELOC and Clymer:

Stay away from both of them and get the OEM Factory service manual. You might find them here on I-Boats or Ken Cook, Milwaukee Wi.

You want the BRP/OMC service manual. If the 25 in question is a triple you will also want to dump the oil injection if it still has it. You can find parts breakdowns at marine engine and you can also order the service manual from them.

I recently bought a Clymer for my '72 85hp Johnson, and am kinda disappointed. Some of the pictures are too dark, and most of the manual covers other motors with different configurations. It's not fun to sort through, and wastes a little extra time.

If I had it to do again I would wait the extra time and spend a few extra bucks to get a factory service manual.

Servicing a waterpump is not that difficult, as long as you don't run into broken/stripped bolts etc.
