I been thinking of updating to hydaulic steering. I have researched it (the kits) but I couldn't find the spes on my engine, I dont wont to buy one that wont fit on my engine.

I have a Mercury 40 hp 2 stoke. Top speed is under 40mph
Lots of room on either of motor for control unit.
Also, I have a custom steering wheel, I really dont want to change it.

The steering now is cable (not a pulley system) and is alittle stiff for me but not bad.
I want to wife to learn to drive, but she tells me that the steeing is hard for her. She only weights 98lbs.
Not sure what type to buy, feedback or non feed back.
Any suggestion would be much appreicated

Wow hydraulic is nice but I would look into a NFB system with a single cable. Give the iboats customer service a call and discuss it. Proper measurement is the key.

Hydraulic is a little much on a 40. Go with the Teleflex 4.2 NFB...:)
