I know there are some to stay away from, but I can't find it anywhere.

I can get a brand new EZ Loader, tandem axle, 4200# gross, LED lights, oil bath hubs, disk brakes on one axle, with a 2 year warranty for $2500.

TAL18-21 4000 (that's the model)

Thanks,
Steve

I couldn't find that model in the web site so I'm not sure of the particulars.

If its a roller trailer then its one of the best on the market. They invented the product that made boating "Easy", hence the moniker.

If its a bunk trailer, then there is no advantage (IMHO) of buying a first line trailer like EZL since it won't function all that "easy".

Its a bunk, which is what I want. I hear bad things about rollers.

My other option is a Venture, basically same set up, but $300 more.

Ventures are not sold in my area so I can't comment on them. I did read their website and was surprized that they indicated their trailers are more for boat storage, not for people who frequently launch and retreive.

I hear all the bad comments about roller trailers too. Makes me laugh, especially at the ramp when I load and launch in a fraction of the time the others do. Never had a bunk and never will. But that's another story for a different thread.

In any event, EZ Laoder makes a good quality product. I currently own 2 Load Rites, a TeeNee (no longer in business) and a Yacht Club. I can attest to the quality of these as well. I don't know of any brands that I would stay away from.

I'm down to two trailers. One, the EZ Loader, the other is an 09 Sea Ray trailer (not sure who makes it, but I'm sure it's fine), basically the same thing, but doesn't have LED lights. He's asking $2400.

This is harder than buying a freaking boat!

FWIW, places like Sports Academy sell LED Lights and LED Light Kits for cheap so you can pretty much get whatever you want and swap them out later if you want LED...

Yeah, I know. But the difference is only $100. Slightly used $2400, no LED lights, $2500, LED lights, brand new. It's the fact that the $2500 one is brand new. I'd be picking it up at the factory in Concord, NC.

I think I'm going to go with the new one. He's also throwing in PVC guides.

Good luck with the new trailer.... post some pictures when you get it.

The best deal i can get for a new trailer is a single axle $2800 or a tandem $3200 both are shorelandr's that is with freight cost to Wisconsin... +$100 to swap boat over.
