How can " white rust" corrosion be removed sucsessfully from parts of my galvanised trailer, I recently removed the felt lining fron the hull guides on my trailer ond found this corrosion under the felt, I have been told that diesel fuel will remove this corrosion that has formed along the guides, at first I thought that it was sea salt but it is not the case, other than using a wire brush to clean this White rust, is there anything else that i can try, some solvent of sorts., has any body tried diesel fuel?kind regards William Wright,

Alot of hand work. You can use scouring pads but, the reason is it is covered metal. Diesel may work (probably most any oil based product will help.
