Whitehead trolling motor

We found a little motor in an old boat we were given and it is called a Whitehead and on the id plate it says Italia so Im guessing its Italian. It also says 6.5 on the case But I think its a trolling Motor its pretty light and all. Has anyone heard of these or know anything of this company? Any info appreciated.
