Hey gang, I just schlepped my latest acquisition home. I bought a 1995 Monark Pontoon with a 1995 Mercury "Big Foot" 60hp (0G137061). This motor just doesn't look like a Merc to me. Did Merc farm this one out or is it that I just haven't had this new a Merc.(Kinda looks like a Yamaha).<br /><br />Thnks and have a good day!!

The Big Foot designation refers to the lower unit. It is the larger gear case used on the 70 to 125 engines and makes the smaller HP engines perform better on pontoon boats.

Thanks 17, the last Merc I owned was a 1983 <br />Classic 50. This board is wonderful! The old motor<br />is pretty clean, I'll have to clean the carbs and change fuel lines and plugs, but other than that the only problem is total guage shutdown. Gotta get a manual and get Schematic to help ;)
