I recently bought a great little 67 14' Glastron Runabout. It has a 35 hp Ward's Sea King. And there is where my problem lies.
Serial #17X20012
Model#VWB27036A

I would like to fix it or get rid of it. But I don't even know who made it. It's my understanding that they were made by several different companies. If anyone car tell me a little bit about this motor or who made it then I could find a manual for it. Well i hope someone can help.

Howdy, Jose :welcome:

Your outboard was built by West Bend/Chrysler.

Thanks that helps a bunch. Now I have some direction. By the way do you know the mix ratio for the fuel?

That is a 1971. I would have to assume it is 50:1. Most everything was by then. BTW, West Bend became Chrysler became Force became Force by Mercury became no longer made.

Well that doesn't sound too promising. So any advice on basic things to check before I try to start it after a very long storage?

Check out the top secret file in the Evinrude Johnson forum" Been sitting 2 years what to do? Awakening a sleeping outboard.
