whos been to the new york boat show?

I'm planning on going next week. I can't wait to see the regal 35 sport cruiser. that boat is my dream boat,even though I'm far from being financially able to own it. Do they let people inside the boats? Are there accessories I can buy there at good deals?

I often attend the show. Most if not all of the boats are accessable. There are some sales conducted at the show, but most of what you see is for display. If you are interested in products and they are not stocked, the reps will be certain to take your info and follow up (often). The deals are scattered at best for small ticket items. The real deals are on big ticket display items and last year leftovers IMO. Enjoy!

Frankly, I've thought it was pretty lame the last couple of years. They've cut the floor space in half and shortened it from a week to a few days. That said, it's still (IMO) always fun to go to a boat show.

This year I'll be at the Stuart, FL in-water show instead. I really enjoy that one. I can buy a hot dog for less than 20 bucks!

Not that this helps the op, but...

Back in the 70's we (dad, brother, and I) would go every year, and looked forward to it. Don't know it was because I was a kid, but I thought the show was the greatest thing all year. All the free crap you'd get and climbing all over the brand new boats, made for a great day. I still love the smell of new boats. Those were the days.....
