Great article Murkster. It's too bad more people don't read these. I suppose they figure these are political in nature and so they avoid them.

We need a murky rating system to seperate politics from finance. ;)

It is the LIBERAL style to lend money to people who can't/won't pay it back, then blame it on. . . guess who?

Nah: JB, I was jus' trollin' ta see who read the actual article. Libs n' Cornservatives both do this deal, (WE ALL DO). It is the normal boom bust irrational exhuberance, n' irrational depression that all markets tend to experence in a capitalistic n' free system. It's one of the reasons they invented the "odd lot theory". (Odd lots are transactions of less then 100 shares of common stock). When the odd lotters are exhuberant look for a PFD or a life raft, as she's likely gonna hit the ol' ice berg.

That said: the Liberals are used to havin' their buds blame those mean Republicans n' prosperin' politically from any crack up, (economic or otherwise). I think that is the reason the Left hopes n' works fer the worst outcome. Could be wrong, (only one brain cell). Respectfully, JR

Still no libs in here?

I guess they're too busy arguing about their feeeelllings and don't have time to read anything about how the economy actually works. It's easier to make some ignorant comment about Bush controlling the oil then it is to understand that all Bush controls is his own portfolio.

That's sure a different tone now as opposed to the endless blame leveled at Clinton during the dot.com bust.

FTR, I personally only invest in stocks and funds that have a verifiable track record of real profits, and return on equity.

I go by the rule that any economist, of any political stripe, that says he knows what is going to happen, is, by definition, lying.

This is just good ol' economics at work. Ups and downs. If you can't suck up the downs don't get into the market.

The most money I EVER made off of ANY investment, waw the money I let a financial firm invest FOR me, in exchange for 1% of my return. INCENTIVE does wonderfull things.
