We might edit your topic title for three reasons.

1. With so many questions being posted every day, many helpers scan the page for only those threads that they can help with and skip the others. If your post gave no clue what you are asking about, we may change it to get you more of the right attention.

2. At some time in the future, a boater who has the same question you have will do a search or visit outboardrepairs.com to get answers. A thread titled "OH PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!" will be of no help. If it is titled "'56 5.5 Johnson idling problem" it will continue to help other boaters for many years.

3. If your wording is unclear or not appropriate for a family audience we may alter the wording to make it better fit our forum style.

Of course, if you have read http://www.iboats.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=17;t=009035 your topic will have a clear and useful title right away. :D

Thanks for your help. :)
