I have a 2.3 omc that is overheating at low speeds. When removing the pump, I noticed that the adapter plate that the impellor housing bolts to is cracked, ordered plate, impeller, gimble bearing and two new bellows. Replaced all. Now there is not any leaks from the pump. I still have the same problem. When I remove the water inlet hose on the t-stat housing, no water. If I put the muffs on securely, it works. There is not much wear on the metal plate or metal ring that are part of the pump assembly. Could this be my problem?? I am fresh out of ideas and would appreciate any ideas.
