Back in the early 60's we took a couple of small(5-10 hp) outboards in trade. They were silver in color and had what looked like 4 or 5 inch pipe elbows with plastic prop impellers on the lowerunit instead of regular props. I remember them as being air cooled, but that was 40 years ago and they have been water cooled. Does anyone have any idea what they were?

I found the Mid Jet available in 2.4 to 5 hp.It used a Tecumseh power head and had a sort of ball shaped lower end with an angled intake on the leading end and what appears to be a squarish outlet.I also found an apparently rare Lancaster Guppy With what appears to be a more normal cintrifical pump.It is said to have plumbers pipe as the driveshaft housing. These motors appear in "The Old Outboard Book"by Peter Hunn.
