Well took the wife out for a spin on the river with my old fisher marine with a 50 hp on it. She had been wanting to ride in it and i thought it's a nice day so lets go.

Get to the river launch perfect and start cruising along the river, My motor is loud and i mean very loud much louder than i would think it needs to be lol so when ever she wants something she would give me a hand signal.

So we are running WOT as she enjoys the speed when she starts putting to the right and i thing she wants me to go over that way, Well to make a long story short we bounced off a nice tree floating down the river scaring the crap out of me and making her laugh her head off.

So we now have are hand signals down so no more of that

I was aware my wife like boating, she loves the water, the speed, the ride.I have no padding on the seats(16' skiff) and a day out in the bay will, leave your butt sore, she don't care!! I just bought this boat brand new this season, guess what?? I just got the green light to buy a bigger boat, she wants a 21' cuddy so we can stay out all night, man life is good!!oh yeah it has to have a head,,,even a porta potty,,,her only complaint LOL

My wife loves the water as much as I do. Never boat without her, and she has excellent navigation skills to boot. One fault...she won't load it on the trailer? I can live with that.

Wife & I often fish alone. There are no beaches or jetties here. So, it's run head first into the bank, jump ashore (watching for crocs), back trailer down, wife drives up to winch post. Dead easy. Only time we had problems was when "Helpful Harry" decided to give her instructions, instead of leaving it to the paur of us.

It's a lot easier to get her to drive the boat on than teach her to back the trailer

Watching for Crocs :) i am glad i don't have to worry about that. My wife will not back the truck down or load the boat but she will stand there holding the rope making alot of comments on how i should be doing it :)

It's all in fun but everyone there watching gets a good laugh out of it. That is if there not staring at her lol

It just doesn't get any better! Well maybe for me if I would add 1 more "b" word...barefooting! Just no barefooting AFTER beer.

I hear that "SLOW DOWN" thing often.

I have yet to convince her that we didn't get a "speedboat" to go slow.

>>>>>>>HAPPY BOATING<<<<<<<

I only get the slow down from my wife if she sees some form of wildlife on the shore. Other than that she has to be close to a potty or she won't go.

My wife launches, recovers, drives and just about everything else I do. She won't open the StarCraft wide open but she likes to take it hopping a little.

Hand signals? She only got one for me.....not very endearing either.

And don't forget your cup!!!

My wife didn't grow up boating as I did, but she does quite well considering her dad would barely move when he was in a boat. He would just sit in a seat closest to the middle of the boat and sit with his life-jacket on clinging for dear life. Oh, and that was when we were only going with the electric motor!!!
