The local lake I seasonal dock at is 9' above normal pool. Since the lake was up, this enabled some of us boaters to take a trip up the river that feeds it. At normal pool, only a PWC can make it about a quarter mile up it. However we was able to make it up about 3 miles. We finally had to stop due to a large tree across the river. There were a few houses at that point. The landowners came out with their cameras as they said they have never seen any boats that far before. Just glad they didn't come out playing their banjo's.....
It will be a trip to remember. Sure is quiet at the dock as the water is over the parking lot at the dock as well as the parking lot at the launch ramp. This makes for a less crowded lake as there is no place to launch them. Just glad I got the ole boat in several weeks ago.....SS
