Will a 77 t&t fit my 73

Will these tilt and trim interchange? Both are 85 hp. Tilt and trim is from a 77 Evinrude. My 73 85hp doesn't have it. If it will fit what else will I need to go with this for it to work?

If it came from a standard 20" 85HP or 115HP and has the PT&T pump outside the transom bracket it will fit.

If it is the type that has everything mounted between the transom brackets, it will not fit.

You would need the wiring harness and switch and the wiring box with the solenoid.

The units have a sender for a gauge built into the trim cylinder; if you want a trim gauge you would need that and the wiring for it.

It will fit, but you will need the wiring harness, tilt trim switch and relay box to go with it. You can use an on off on toggle switch if you don't have the origional and you can wire in starter relays if the relay box is not included, but if you can get everything factory you are better off.
