Will a L/U from a 79 80hp fit a 86 75hp

I cant seem to find if the lower end will fit on my 86 or 87 model 75hp 2cycle from a 79 80hp. Anybody know for sure they appear the same.

If you engine is a 4 cyl 1986 it will interchange but if it's a 87 3 cyl. it won't. A year can make a huge differance

Mine is a 86 i guess the title says 87 but the dealer says they cant find an 87 4cyl and mine is most cetainly a 4cylinder as thats kinda hard to miss when you change the plugs #4 is a *$@^%# to get too. Thanks! Do you know if any other parts like the starter and carbs or other powerhead parts are the same? The # 1 went through the head so i imagine the crank is junk but that will remain to be seen.
