And I would like someone to confirm if I need to put any sealant such as Grease, LocTite on the temp sensor threads before the install.

Ayuh,.... Use whatever sealin' compound Paste ya want, just don't use tape,...

It needs to be properly Grounded,....

I just did mine. I used Loctite High Temp Sealant. Little tube cost half what the sensor did. No leaks and it's grounding
