Will I be able to ski behind this boat?

I'm going to look at this boat along with some others this weekend. I'm not looking for anything that is rip you out of your ski's fast, but I don't want it to be near impossible for an adult(160-180lbs) to get up on skis.

with 140hp it should get you out of the water just fine

that is an old 140 mercruiser probably, the trihull and that engine. it might get you out of the water. also if you buy from Lanier, check the boat out 100%, they do not have the best reputation.

The photos show it as a 120hp not 140 as the ad states.

A 20ft trihull boat, an 8ft beam and a tired 120HP it will be marginal to pull you up on two ski's and a struggle to pull you up on one.

That's a lot of boat for your 120 hp. If it is in good shape then you should be able to ski behind it but there are better outfits you could find if you are serious about water skiing.

I think you will be disapointed as a ski boat- it looks too tired - should be ok just riding around my $0.02--keep looking
