The cost comparrison is not worth it for my old crusier but maybe a new prop would possibly be worth the money. used mainly for just cruising
Thanks:)

You'll see a big difference in performance with SS as compared to aluminum. The SS does not flex like aluminum so you'll get much less delay and basically instant response. You'll get on plane much faster, thereby saving fuel. With todays prices and the way fuel cost is rising it won't take long for that pricey SS prop to pay for itself.

Get us your present max rpm and speed and your best cruising rpm and speed.Tell us about your boat.
Yes a stainlesss can improve performance but how much would depend on how well your present prop works. Also there are al props that perform close to ss for 1/3 the price.Turningpoint Hustler is one. As far as saving fuel it will take a really long time to make up the differtence against a good al prop.Your motor will burn about the same amount of fuel per hour regardless of the prop selection.Improvements in hole shot, top speed and cruising speed is where you get your savings.
Improvements could vary from a few thenths to a few mph yes a fuel savings but your not likely to be able to measure it.

Well to my recullection it is 2,800 rpm at 32mph@ full throttle the boat is a 26ft euro cuddy cruiser deep v has a merc 5.7 and a alpha 1 outdrive the current prop is a 14.8x17 pitch and this prop seems to be the most efficent I think the next size merc engine should be standard on a boat this size, well thanks for the imput.

A 5.7 could be up to 320 hp.The rated max rpm is 4,800.At 2,800 I would suspect your tach is off. There is a selector switch on the back note its position and rotate it a few times to clean the contacts. If your hole shot seems good and it seems to have a good cruising speed/rpm stays on plane well without a lot of diddling.ur prop is probably good.If the hp is around 300 I would think faster than 32 would be possible though i'm not really acquainted with the larger boat/motor conbinations.
