Will not start.

I have a 1976 Mercury 110 9.8hp 2 stroke outboard that will not start. I have changed the plugs, made sure there is good fuel flow etc. The engine turns over with the pull, just not igniting. Anyone know what my next step would be in figuring out my engine problem? Thank you in advance for your assistance and suggestions.

Go to the Engine FAQs forum and do the troubleshooting in "Outboard won't start".

you could check your compression, and i'd try taking the plug out and put it in the plug wire touching a ground [hold it to ground with a small peice of wood]turn the motor over to check your spark.
