Re: Will over choking cause some sluge on the prop?

most the excell motors were prime start.
means no choke.
some models the top fuel pump was for enrichment only and had two solinoid valves on it.
if the diaphram tears the bottom two carbs flood and the engine runs very rich.
like I say, if I cannot identify the motor by the model number you started this thread with I cant say much.
pictures tend to help when one of us has no clue of the terminology :).

does this engine have chike plates or a set of fuel solinoids? this is getting confusing answerin two threads on the same poor running.
that much sludge is not overchoking.

It has choke plates, that you set with a switch.

this engine has been sitting for about 8 months so, I am trying to bring it back to life. Could this have beem slugde in the engine for sitting for so long. The engine runs like a top above 1500 rpms, IF I can get the idle circuit going all will be well. All cylinders are 130 give or take on psi
