Hey folks,

A guy here at work has this prop for sale at a really good price. Its a Mercury Marine Trophy SS 4 blade 23 P. It came off a newer Merc 150. My motor is a 1991 175 Black Max non XR. The part number is 48-825938A45 23P.
The prob doesn't have a hub in it so I will have to have one pressed in.

I have a 3 blade 21P SS prop on there new and I need to upgrade.

Theoretically, running the numbers you are going to lose about 650 RPM going from a 21" pitch 3 blade to a 23" 4 blade prop, 500 RPM for the 21" to the 23" pitch change and probably about 150 for the 4th blade. BUT, you will be changing blade geometry and I cant predict what that will do to the RPM. But I think you are going to lose a lot of RPM and be below WOT recommended RPM at about 4,900 to 5,000 RPM.

hwsiii is usually right on. If you give him your present wot specs and your boats specific specs length, width, weight, typical load ,motor year ,hp, rpm range and gear ratio present type and size prop he has a progream that can help identify a prop solution.

Thanks again guys, I will pass on this one, it sure is PURDY though LOL. We'll get to the bottom of this this weekend, lol. Maybe the 21p is the best for my boat.
