will too much oil harm the motor?

i was wondering how exact you have to be when mixing fuel and oil. will going over a bit to be safe do any damage to a two stroke?

too lil oil will make you buy a new motor.. <br />too much oil wil maybe foul your plugs a bit sooner....<br /><br />but yes, if you RE gonna mix it wrong, give it too much

I would not make a habit of over oiling-on purpose. Is any mixing technique exact-NO!<br />Stay as close as you reasonably can and don't worry about it.

Adding too much oil will actually cause the engine to run leaner since more oil and less gasoline is being metered by the carbs. It also will lower the octane rating of the fuel.

The most you will likely see with extra oil is a less user friendly engine...plugs fouling during long idles and harder starting. It takes a lot of extra oil to make deposits on the innards.
