Anyone come across this one,in win 2000 when I type command.com in "run" I get error message "attempt to access illegal address" I think this means the dos emulator does not function due to conflict. It does function in "safe mode" and I suspect conflict is with display adaptor. Problem is I cant install some older software (16 bit I guess, I get the same message. Is it possible to temporarily disable display adaptor and use the "bare bones" VGA adapator.<br /><br />thanks dm
