Windshield aluminum hinge

The pin that holds the two parts of the windshield hinge has broken and there is no way to take it out. The manufactor (Yamaha) does not sell the hinge and told me that I need to buy teh entire windshield.
Can somebody help me find a company that produces that kind of hinge.

? Someone put it together, it has to come out somehow.

Is it a stainless rod, 1/4" or 3/32"? If the windshield is off the boat, can you get at the bottom of the rod with a slightly smaller pin punch?

If it's similar to mine, it should tap out with the punch and a hammer. You may need to make a longer rod to punch with after it's started.

have removed several all they do is slide out. you may have to remove the rubber trim at the bottom of the windshield and remove the mounting screws, to remove the windshield, to get access.
