Boat is looking good. I am about to fabricate a windshield for my console. I also want to add a hand rail that surrounds the windshield as seen on many production boats. <br /><br />What did you use for your rail? How sturdy is it? <br /><br />Thanks
Looks like pretty standard boat railing material and fittings to me. The destroyer steering wheel is great! ...and when will the little red sailboat sail again?
LOL CK. That boat was actually hand built from scratch by my late father and HIS father back in about 1955. About a year ago I started to resurrect it from the grave. It had been stored in a garage and had split the hull, etc. It has been put on the back burner with all the other boat work going on, but hope to have it floating soon. For now, it makes a nice safety cover for the router table, don't cha think??<br /><br />
I guess it does look like standard deck railing pieces. I'll check that out. <br /><br />I wonder how much it would actually cost to buy a piece of stainless pipe and have it bent. <br /><br />Thanks.
